We're just your average Kauai-loving family of four - Sam (47), Susan (43), Ryan (10) and Jack (8 years) from Denver, CO. We first visited Kauai in 2004 using Sam's parents' RCI timeshare. We decided to return to The Point at Poipu in 2005, when we purchased an odd-year garden-view unit on a floating week.
We have since returned to Kauai nine times (seven times now with the little flamingos), though we no longer have the timeshare. We have also visited Maui, the Big Island and Oahu and while each of those has its own allure, our hearts belong to Kauai.
When we're not on Kauai, I spend a lot of time on the TripAdvisor Kauai forums. Everyone is so helpful; I love reading other people's trip reports and daydreaming about our next adventure.
